My dad turned 91 this week and I surprised him by flying in on his birthday and spending a few days with him. Priceless. We went through some old photos and he shared lots of stories.

Here is dad with my brother Rick. |
 |
Here he is as a class officer (Secretary at Ogden High 1940) on right |
 |
He played center field on the American Legion Baseball
team that took the state title two years in a row.
He was also on the high school baseball team. |
 |
He was quarterback of the football team. Check out that sweet helmut.
There was a newspaper clipping that said, "Ogden High School's
1939 gridiron machine shifted into high gear to crush the Tooele team 26-7. Quarterback
Jack Dalton started the Tiger team off to a flying start by carrying a Tooele punt 45 yards
with the entire Tooele team in hot pursuit." |
 |
Here is dad on right with Ernest L. Wilkinson, then president of BYU.
Dad was president of Rotary Club in Provo & helped earn money to build
the Marriott Center. His name is on a bronze plaque there.
Dad says his new goal is to live to 95. I asked why, and he said because that is when his drivers license expires : )
